Klance-tastic.
One day, Keith contracts a deadly illness from Earth, called Hanahaki. It's a deadly disease caused by unrequited love or if their love is supposedly one-sided. You cough up flower petals and blood, and eventually die from the blockage filling their lungs and windpipe, suffocating them slowly. (If you're confused just look it up) Proof that love can really kill.
Can the team save him before it's too late? Who is Keith in love with, who's causing him to suffer more than he already is?
(Disclaimer: I don't own Voltron: Legendary Defenders or characters, this is just something I felt like writing. However, I do own the storyline and such.
As well, I don't own the cover art but I did create the cover itself. Don't know who made the drawing so I apologize, I can't give anyone credit.)

"From all the things I pictured in my future life, nothing could have prepared me for this." --- When Lance forced you and the others to a night out, you had no choice but to join them. Through a series of completely unexpected events, though, the "night out" ended up being a rescue mission for Shiro, the pilot of the Kerberos mission. You all ended up somehow becoming the Paladins of Voltron, so you knew the fate of the universe was in your hands. It was time for you and the team, especially you and Keith, to step up and overcome your conflicts and start to become proper teammates, or perhaps more. or A story in which Keith Kogane and (Y/N), old classmates, meet again on a fateful night on a rescue mission for Shiro. Except that Keith now hates (Y/N)'s guts. What happened and how will that affect the Team of Voltron? Lance's Funeral
Keith hated himself for liking Lance. His limber build, the way he carried himself with shoulders raised and chin held high. His blue eyes, dark like the sea's deep, inky bottom. His tangled mess of dark brown hair that stood at odd angles, and never seemed to obey Lance's vigorous brushing. His smooth, light brown skin as he crinkled his nose, or batted the sand from his eyes on a particularly windy afternoon. Even his laugh, as loudly obnoxious as it was, Keith adored. And that was the worst part, because, unlike Keith, Lance hated him. With every word he uttered, an argument seemed to arise. Lance constantly joked and poked fun of Keith, determined to one up him in every way imaginable. So, in all retrospect, Keith had every right to detest Lance in return. But that was the thing: he didn't. Even as Lance stood before him on the worst days - face scrunched and reddened, throat hoarse from the shouting - all Keith thought as he stood stone faced, eyes locked on Lance's chattering lips, was: 'wow, I really want to kiss this shit-head.' And then he was both mad at himself and the world. Mad at himself for imagining Lance in ways he shouldn't, and mad at the world for allowing Lance to be in his life in the first place. It was torture. As powerful as a lash to the chest, or a hammer to the kneecap. Especially now, as Keith stood above Lance's cold, unflinching corpse. The dead boy's bony hands crossed over his chest, shoulders squared atop the white, velvet cushion that rested inside the opened coffin. He wore the best suit and tie money could buy, and had his shaven scalp hidden by a head of hair that was similar, but could never match the boy's old image. The image before cancer. KLANCE BAND After Keith's music producer dropped him so they could focus on different performers, he decided to pursue his other dream and become a dance teacher. His brother Shiro invites one of his good friends to do a dance class with a few other guests. What Keith didn't know was that these "other guests" were actually the band who is the reason he no longer sings. Keith is informed that the band are looking for a new band member but never imagines that he'd be offered a spot in the band (and tricked into joining the band too). On the path if fame, Keith learns more about his new friends and himself. He discovers new emotions and feelings and he may even form a bond closer than friendship with none other than the bands most popular, and in Keith's eyes, the worlds most obnoxious human; Lance McClain. But everyone has their secrets. Everyone had their insecurities. But will Keith and Lance be able to over come their doubts together?
