Shadow the Hedgehog coped with his  feelings for Amy Rose by drinking a cup of black coffee everyday at the coffee shop she owns. He kills two birds with one stone, satisfying his addiction for coffee and successfully maintaining a conversation with his love interest.  Everything was going as usual until one day G.U.N's Commander was found dead and the main suspect is no other than Amy Rose. Shadow is now forced to leave his job as an G.U.N agent and help Amy prove her innocence. And along the way, Amy is starting to realize why everyone is falling head over heels in love with "The Dark Prince."


But some things are just not the way they seem.

Then his touch, he feel the soft meters of sheet and the warmth of blanket surrinding his body, a soft pillow behind his head. His body aching only a little. And then his smell... he grimace softly with the bitter smell with undertones of the artificial fragrance containes soaps and cleaners... is this antiseptic? Where... is he? He had a bitter taste in his mouth. His throat pretty dry, hurting him when he try to swallow. Then finally his sight... blinking the blur away, his eyes opening to a white room, he squint his eyes because of the sunlight slipping in through the window next to him, blinding him. He slip out a groan out of his lips, after his brain start to work again, trying so hard to make sense of this situation. He hissed trying to starighten up to analyze around himself, leaning on the frame of the bed with a sigh. A headache piercing through his head. He forced his heavy hand up to his head and tried to stop the pain. With the pain, his memories became more confused and blurred. Still couldn't understand or remember what's going on, he felt more anixious by the minute. Before he can panic, a hand softly gripped his shoulder, gently urging him back towards the welcoming pillows. Seeing a blurry image of a royal blue figure his rapid heart beat slows down. Sonic and Shadow creating the Panic of Chaos. They jumped from city to city with their performances. Sonic. flirting with all his fans happily as they went. Shadow, ever so aggregated by the blue hedgehog leaves to stumble upon a pink hedgehog singing her heart out to one of their songs on a roof top of a restaurant. Amy Rose has caught the black and red hedgehog's intrest but will Sonic out foot him in the race for her attenion?

Not only does Mephiles turn Shadow into a killer hedgehog, he forces him to take out revenge on not only on on Mobians but the entire universe as well. But only Amy Rose is aware of Shadow's illness after witnessing Shadow consuming human and Mobian remains behind a restaurant dumpster. Amy vows to keep Shadow's condition a secret not only for the safety of Sonic and the gang but for the universe...but if G.U.N finds out the ultimate life form and their top agent as dangerous... it could result in him being held captive, being detained against his will and experimented on as long as possible. Despite the life threatening situation, Shadow and Amy's connection grows closer and closer which ultimately leads to them having an affair which eventually leads them to being together, much to the disdain of not only Sonic, but to the entire group, unfortunately, it later becomes a weakness which will give Mephiles a possible one up against the team Will Amy and the rest of the crew find a cure for Shadow's condition or will he forever be Mephiles' murderous puppet?
