Itsuko Konami is a girl with a love for basketball. She's started playing street ball at a very young age and some would say she's almost as good as Aomine. Almost. She went to Teiko Junior High and when she got there she wanted to join the basketball team. They wouldn't let her though. Why? Because she's a girl. Being very upset at the time, Itsuko didn't give up her love for basketball, she stayed with the boys' team becoming the equipment manager and the coach even allowed her to practice with them. Grateful for the opportunity to play basketball, Itsuko became the heart of the team, with her cheering from the sidelines, bringing the guys sports drinks ,and helping them during practice. Her best friend Kuroko loved the fact that they were able to spend more time together, Itsuko also tried to help Kuroko get out of his comfort zone. She once told him,
"Kuro-kun, you've exceled in three things, but you can't become a great player without being skilled in many things."
And that was the fault of the Generation of Miracles. They all excelled in everything... except teamwork
Now that junior high was over, all the members of the Generation of Miracles went to different high schools, to play for different teams. That was, of course, minus Itsuko and Kuroko, who both go to Seirin.
Along her journey with the Seirin basketball team, she'll fall in love, but with who? Will Itsuko get a chance to play competitively in high school? Find out when you read, Itsuko's Love for Basketball!
