The story of Cato and Clove before and throughout the Hunger Games. Cato: I've known who she was since I was ten. Since I was ten, I watched over her. I looked after her. I protected her even if she didn't know it was me. I love her. And I will do anything to save her because she saved me first. Clove: He's an arrogant, rich prick. I should hate him. But I don't. Instead, I feel drawn to him. I recognize him from somewhere, but I can't put my finger where I first saw him. He may be three years older than me, but I'm his biggest competition. In a world of pain and despair, two kids navigate their life while figuring out the true meaning of love and hate. Their sheer will to fight pushes them forward as they attempt to achieve one goal: survive.
The Last District
What if district 13 didn't get blown up? And what if there was a 14th district hidden from everyone? District 14 wasn't known to the public, it was kept hidden due to the lack of people. They were told that as soon as their population increased than they would be entered into the Hunger Games. Only they didn't know it would be this soon. Peacekeepers stormed the mediocre town of District 14 where they announced that only one person every year, between the ages of 12 to 18, was to be entered into the Hunger Games. When Marlowe Ordell hears the announcement she fears for the life of her 12 year old brother. There was a 1 in 400 chance that he gets called and he'd be all alone. She never once thought about her own life until she was the one to be called. She runs into a Career Tribute who takes an interest to her. Clove Kentwell is supposed to be dead. That is, she thought so until she wakes up in a Capital hospital seemingly unscathed. When she discovers Cato's there as well, along with the other dead tributes, a strange story begins to unravel at her feet. Why would President Snow keep them alive? Why is Cato acting so strangely? As the situation unfolds, Clove finds herself increasingly drawn to Cato in a way she never thought she would get to experience. Will she make good use of her second chance? The Fourth Olympics
We all know the story of the Mockingjay Rebellion. Sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen volunteers for her twelve year old sister for this event called The Hunger Games where twenty four children fight to the death and only one comes out as victor. A boy named Peeta Mellark was reaped alongside her. These two come out of the games as "Starcrossed Lovers". This caused a few uprisings in some districts. President Snow doesn't want another rebellion so he sends Katniss and Peeta back into the games with other Victors from each district. This causes a whole other war and this time, the districts pull out on top. The Hunger Games are ended and Snow is executed and everyone is safe again. Yeah, let's fast foward about fifty years.
