The day she found out that her name literally meant "little dark one", Ciara knew that her life was going to be nothing but an endless tunnel of darkness, from family issues to mental issues. 
She was a lost soul roaming in a lost world, seeking love and happiness, wishing for peace and harmony.
 Ciara's only friend was nature, birds were her alarm, trees were her mates, the rain was her happiness and flowers were her inspiration.  She'd wake up every morning by the sunrise making sure she's the first soul to greet the beautiful warm sun and that's when she can carry on with her day. 
She hasn't always been a dark soul, she believed in the saying "There's light at the end of every tunnel." She knew deep down that being in that tunnel was temporary, she knew that one day her soul will finally find peace. However, she never knew when, or how.All Rights Reserved

I lost someone dear to me in the midst of the Heroin Epidemic hitting MA in the last 3 years that spurred me to write The A Team. It is a reference to Ed Sheeran's song. This story was my grieving process. Without it, I'd be in a maelstrom of emotions that I wouldn't know what to do with. Also, my favorite band, Fall Out Boy, has a physical copy of this story. I gave it to them this past summer at a Meet & Greet in Mansfield, MA for the Boys of Zummer tour. I'd probably bawl my eyes out if I ever hear that they read it, but I don't want to hold out too much hope. They are my second form of coping with anything, and their music gave me the drive to even write the novella. Here's the description: What does it mean to truly learn to love your life again? She lived her life as if it was normal and everything was okay. But in reality, that was never the case, She was struggling. Her life wasn't as easy as she tried to make it seem. She went to school, pretending to be happy all the time so her friends didn't become suspicious. And then she went home, to watch her 'father' throw his life away as he shot up in his arm. She hated seeing him locking himself in the bathroom only to come out ten minutes later, high out of his mind. He scared her; He did weird things when he was like that. From walking into her room and just staring around and then leaving without saying a word, to yelling at her and throwing whatever was in arms reach at her. She was suffering, but she still tried to make herself look like she was okay. Nobody suspected anything odd going on in her life. Afterall, she was Alexis Deaken, Everyone believed her life was perfect. They evyed her, they believed she had everything. Little did they know that the second she left that school building everyday she was going home to something unimaginable.

He was rude and had a terrible attitude, but his eyes didn't show anything but pain which is something she knew all too well. They are complete opposites but have one thing in common.
