Mahabharata, the largest epic of India, is a treasure for every Indian in its political, moral and spiritual values. The characters and their ups and downs in life, leading to the fatal war of Kurukshetra still draws our interest to know even more about them. But within all these restlessness, battles and conflicts, we somehow tend to forget few small yet delicate moments which must have taken place in Dwapara yuga but were not penned by Maharishi Vyasa.

Have we ever thought of how the loving Pandava family of Indraprastha would have celebrated one of its member's birthday? Situations did change in their lives from happy to sad, yet those moments did come every year. How would have been their celebrations when they were reunited after the thirteen years of exile? How did the children feel for their parents? What would have been a Princess's reaction while garlanding the man of her dream in her swayamvara? What had Yudhishthira felt during exile, repenting for his mistake of a short while? How was the love-filled journey of the great five heroes and their heroine, since yugas and kalpas?

This book is a collection of short stories that capture such forgotten, non-recorded moments from the great epic. With these small flowers of their immortal tales I present my offering to the noble characters of Mahabharata.

Drisana has always felt like she's in the wrong place, wrong time. Why? That has no answer. After her parents death, adventure lover Drisana has been travelling around the world to find peace in her heart which has always been missing. But things take a drastic change when she comes to visit the place that her parents belonged to, where she was born. One moment she was in the basement of her parental house and the next she somehow tumble through a energy portal to 5157 years back in time in the Dwapar yug, badly injured, right on the hands of the legendary heroes of Mahabharat, Pandavs. What is she doing there? How she reached from Kaliyug to Dwapar yug and why? Many more things are running through her mind and all she got from the mortal disguise of Lord Narayan, Krishna is, "Tum etihas ka hissa nahi balki etihas rachne aayi ho. Apni vaggya ka racaita tum khud ho. " (You're not part of the history. Rather you have come to create the history. You're the writer of your own destiny.) *********** Familiar with the Mahabharat? Don't worry if you're not. I've added a short description of the original Mahabharat plot in the book for those. This story will follow the original mahabharat storyline but in a vastly different way with a lot of twists and events in my style. 😉 I'm aware Mahabharat holds religious sentiments for some and I do not INTEND to offend anyone. This is for entertainment purpose only. So don't get serious or offended please. And I apologise in advance if you feel hurt by any content of the book.
NITYA - THE ETERNAL ONE by grishuwrites
97 parts Ongoing Mature
(Nitya was lying on the floor on her stomach) (All the men present there except family members were laughing and of course making fun of her, while she was lying down) Dushashan : ye lijiye jyest, aapki dasi aapke samne prastut hai Nitya : mei kisiki dasi nhi hu!! (Nitya's voice was heard, it was cold and dark, hearing this, everyone paused their laughing session and looked at her keenly) (She stood up from her place and glanced at everyone who was looking at her with lustful eyes, her hair was messed up, saree was disheveled revealing some parts of the body, she was having wounds everywhere, moreover, all the sight of unknown men made her hella uncomfortable) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Kunti took a deep breath) Kunti : tumhara jyest aur koi nhi, Karn hai!!! (Everyone gasped listening this, including Karn) (All looked at Kunti and Karn with wide eyes, no one was able to believe this fresh news) (Infact, Karn too didn't have any idea of this) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a fanfiction starring another Sister of The Great Pandavas and Kauravas, Daughter of Madri and Pandu. She is a blessing from Lord Mahadev and Devi Parvati. Everyone knows about the Great Mahabharat, but I have added a twist by introducing a younger sister of Pandavas and Kauravas (Nitya) she is most loving, caring and supportive towards her Pandava brothers, she cannot tolerate insults for her family members, rather it be anyone, on the contrary Duryodhan too loves her as he expects no harm from her, but Nitya hates Kauravas as they always try Pandavas to get out of the way of Hastinapur and it's Throne. So, let's deep down more in the story and see The Great Mahabharata through the eyes of Nitya. This whole story is full of my imagination, it has nothing to do with the real Mahabharat.
