Ever since junior high, Brian Hawthorne and Aubrie Hoffman have hated each other's guts. Brian finds Aubrie crabby, cranky, and emotionless. Aubrie finds Brian obnoxious, loud, and irritating. How can two people who hate each other that much get along?
And it's really unfortunate for both of them when, in their dreaded English II class, Aubrie has a seat with Brian's seat directly behind it.
But one day, when their paths suddenly start encountering each other, and they talk and bicker and argue even more than they did before, they realize that maybe there's more than what they know about each other after all.
