Claws of Bone

She arrived at the square just in time for the raging woman to dig her claws into a girl and rip her guts out.

Bianca stopped.

Everything disappeared except for the two females, herself and a ringing silence that started to spread throughout her head.

She vaguely sensed her friends arriving behind her and stopping.

Staring in horror at what they saw.

A scream sounded somewhere. She wasn't sure if it came from her, or one of her friends.

The female turned with her arm still in the body of the little girl.

And she smiled.

A cruel, sick sort of smile that changed Bianca's wave of silence to a sea of rage.

A boiling, churning sea of hot rage washed over her. Bathing her with it.

Bathing her in disbelief, hatred, disgust towards the female.

And herself.

If she came sooner, if she had kept an eye on her she wouldn't have ended up hanging limply from a crazy Mate's arm, her guts spilling out.

And as she saw the light from the girl's eyes fade, that brilliant, bright and fierce light that brought joy to her every moment, she realised and accepted the truth.

Adriana was gone.

The world took her away. Before her time was over.

And Bianca was sure as hell that she would make the world pay for it.

Bianca Well, covered in scars and blood, detests the mating bond that exists in her kind.
