13-year-old Charlotte Foster is different. She goes to middle school, she's middle class, and she has a cat named Price. There's only one thing, though. She lives her life in a wheelchair after being shot. At the age of 5. There's a lot of twists and turns in her life, but she manages to get through them somehow. Amy Kosgrov seems different, too. The most important person in her life is dying. She's a social outcast, which has caused her to become a vicious bully. Her father is abusive. Nobody gets her. Do the two girls learn to sympathize with each other?
