Grey Ashes

She was beautiful, more on the inside than the outside. But it doesn't really matter because, God, he even thought that maybe she was already perfect.

But she'll never be, because she's scarred. It is not evident in her emerald eyes or in her soft voice, but life left its fingerprints on her and shattered a part of her.

She was full of life.

A fire burns and ignites inside her, and works its way out, leaving a sense of warmth for everyone. She was that warm breath that blows at the back of your neck that leaves you wanting more.

She should be forever.

But another fire burns inside her, leaving nothing but pain and ash.

She should be forever, but she can't. No one can, especially her.
