Johnathan is (unfortunately) the king and queen's son. He's 10 years old and the most adorable little boy. The king was in the middle of a feud with Indians over land disputes and their castle sat directly on the border of their holy land.
Johnathan was born on their holy land so the Natives kidnap (rescue) him and raise him as their own. He is re-named Mateo and when he is older he is married to the Chiefs son. they love each other and live harmoniously until the king and queen attack their land, looking for their son.
