Hello everyone! This is a short story I wrote for my English language course. I've been working on/thinking about this universe idea for a while now and I finally know how to start it off. Not totally sure what I wanna do with it, but I know I wanna take it further and develop it. 
It's set in New York City (I will say that I've never been there, so don't expect complete accuracy, but I am from a big city so the concept isn't totally foreign to me). It starts with Jinx (James) Little driving in the seemingly routine inner-city traffic. But there's something nagging at the back of his mind - a deep, powerful fear for his friend, Seb. How worried does Jinx need to be?

He sits by me. "You can't just let people hurt you all the time and then go forgive them like it's nothing!" "And why not?" I ask calmly. "B-because-" Carlos stutters. He looks away. "Because then..." "Seb's a good person. The best out of all of us," Big Red comments. I blush. "I don't know. I just always try my best to do the right thing." But at that moment, a thought hits me like a rock to the head. Keeping secrets from Carlos isn't the right thing. I need to tell him the truth. Soon. Seb's been getting bullied, and is having a hard home life. He wants to look brave, but he knows he really needs Carlos. After one painful event at school, Carlos snaps. ¡IMPORTANT! This is a project I originally started in like.. 7th grade and I've re-written and re-written it over and over again and I'm publishing this now in hopes of it being the final version of the story. My two main characters, Wylie and Elias, going over their days as trans guys in middle school; Wylie playing pretend that he's a cis-guy who has not yet hit puberty, and Elias, who's openly trans at his new school, even though he's been mentally scarred by his outings before. Elias is aroace and has depression; Wylie falls from one crush into the next and has severe trust issues and self esteem problems. The two of them have been, as mentioned, my projects for a longer time now, and I think I've got them right this time. This is a story about a he/him nonbinary gay intersex Indian person living in the east coast and his life from senior year to after and his group of friends and the love of his life Sky-so Moth won't be the only character who gets screen time. I'm not trans, intersex, Indian,, anytime of other Asian, Jewish or gay but I'll try my best- I want to write more trans stories to make up for all the bad crap I did towards people on here who were trans(accidental migendering and my terrible trans fanfics.) Also I made this book after making a character in a character creator game. No sexual stuff until the characters are older. Also just a heads up Moth isn't a girl- so don't put this book in a wlw reading list-Moth is not a man but Moth also isn't a woman also Moth likes men not women.
