Lissie Turner is 13. She lives in hut number 433, in Province 5 of what was once England.. Life is peaceful and people are fortunate. There are no wars, there is enough food for everyone and everyone has a job. There is no reason to complain or to worry. Everything is taken care of.
But one day Lissie Turner finds an apple tree. She knows it should not be there. Growing food is forbidden. Only the government is allowed to grow food, and all plants, trees and meat are raised under the Domes. The government seized control of nature after the last war ended seventy years ago. Since then, life has been peaceful for the surviving people on earth. Everything is provided for. As long as you keep to the rules.
But with the discovery of the apple tree, Lissie finds herself breaking the rules.

To get everything back to normal again. Around those cities are small villages were the poor lives. The people who are barely surviving. The major city is called Alancia and that is were Victoria lives. Her father use to be the Leader of Alancia along side with his wife and brother. Until one day his brother killed him in cold blood and locked Victoria up in a cell. When she turned 18 she was offered a deal. Each year Alancia holds a fighting tournament for public display. The biggest and the baddest fight in this tournament and barely make it out alive. She has to fight in this tournament and if she won she had her freedom back. If she lost she would loose her freedom once again. Victoria knows she can't pass up this opportunity up. Even though she would be reminiscing old memories And meeting someone who can ruin it all Whatever the cost is she is willing to fight.
