Normani agrees, not because she loves Kelly, but because she very desperately needs the money. Both of her parents have cancer and her boss is willing to pay for their very expensive treatments as long as she goes through with the fake marriage.
When Beyonce, Kelly's best friend and on and off girlfriend, finds out about the fake marriage, she gets on board to help her best friend make this relationship look as authentic as possible. Which will be more difficult than she expected when she finds herself falling for Normani.
