"Did'ja hear that?"; He asks Merle, still looking around. I try to hide from him, to make myself a small as humanly possible but I knew he still saw me. "Come on out now, I know where ye are."
I peek my head out, only to see a crossbow loaded and aimed right between my eyes. I scurry back behind the tree, holding my knees to my chest with my head in my hands. I'm so scared, I don't want to kill a living human being. I hear steps coming around the tree and I know that an arrow is being pointed at me.
"What's yer name?" Merle shouts. I push my head further into my hands, wishing I could just disappear. Out of nowhere, a rumbling sounded.
