"Did'ja hear that?"; He asks Merle, still looking around. I try to hide from him, to make myself a small as humanly possible but I knew he still saw me. "Come on out now, I know where ye are." I peek my head out, only to see a crossbow loaded and aimed right between my eyes. I scurry back behind the tree, holding my knees to my chest with my head in my hands. I'm so scared, I don't want to kill a living human being. I hear steps coming around the tree and I know that an arrow is being pointed at me. "What's yer name?" Merle shouts. I push my head further into my hands, wishing I could just disappear. Out of nowhere, a rumbling sounded. *** Nikki's always been alone. She doesn't want to be alone anymore, it hurts way too much. What happens when she meets two brothers? Obviously, she won't be alone anymore. What mystery, anger, and heartbreak will come of knowing these brothers?

"Don't say that," I replied, my lip shaking. He quickly looked at me when he realized how pitiful I sounded. "There's a reason we found each other. Maybe it's God, maybe it's fate. But I know it's not an accident that I found you." "And you mean that?" he asked as he peered into my face. Now he was doubting my truths. A tear slipped down my cheek, but I quickly wiped it away and hoped he didn't notice. "Yes, of course I do. I need you."
