In a world where when you have your 17th birthday you see a red string. It's to be believed the red string leads you toward you soulmate. Noah doesn't have much care for the soulmates myth, he thinks it's just one big lie, another thing about the soulmates myth is that everyone has a tattoo on their palm. Normally a heart, star or flower, in Noah's case he has a heart. A grey heart, it's to be said when you meet your soulmate before your 17th birthday your tattoo glows your soulmates favourite colour.

Everybody has a tattoo; they could be absolutely anywhere on your body. The tattoo begins appearing on the person's sixteenth birthday. Nobody has the same tattoo as they reflected the person's personality. They could be similar, but they are never duplicated. If you're older than your soulmate you stay 18 until he/she/they catch up. When Harry wakes up on his 13th birthday he notices two things. 1. The room is in color. 2.
