When Oli and Alex cross paths in an alleyway after coincidentally running away from home aged twelve and thirteen looking for a fresh start with life, now both grieving their brothers, Oli feels a connection between the two, he and Alex start doing street shows together as a duo, leaving Alex surprised at his talent with singing, but also head over heels for this new friend. The two manage to save enough money to rent an apartment in London, eventually, Alex decides it's time for Oli to know one of the three things he's hiding from him, his sexuality and gender identity, and his feelings for him. The boys end up being given a choice of going to college or being in the music industry, the two want to go their separate ways, but one would end up couch surfing so then he has a place to stay off the streets again. This leaves them in a bind with their futures and relationship on the line, they try to make a deal that one of them will be in the music industry and the other stays in their possible home.
