"Brooklyn I-" he started but she cut him off.

"I need a reason to stay," her voice fragile and barely over a whisper. "Because right now, this, it's not enough of a reason." She looked away, her eyes brimming with tears.

He looked at her, hurt evident in the deep greens of his beautiful eyes. He blinked away the tears and cleared his throat. 
"Brooklyn, stay," he said simply. 
She opened her mouth to speak but Robbie continued. 
"I'm in love with you. But that's too little for a valid reason. You make me a better, stable person. Before you, I constantly fought with people and broke out in tantrums but now," he looked into her brown eyes. He swallowed hard. 
"You're all I think about. The guys think I'm going soft because of you but I don't care. I want even the darkest fears and thoughts you have hidden away. I want to be there for when your sorrow is too heavy to handle. I want you to be able to love me the same way. Though the dark and the light, the thick and the thin.
