Only child, dad-less at birth, mom-less at 15, and her best (and only) friend leaving her at 21 to find his dad, Pearl Adams is as lonely as one can get. Doesn't help that she loves black, dark humor, and lives alone in a creepy old house. It seems like she's destined to be a loner. Until she lights a certain candle.

Then she's a loner who can see ghosts.
