The... Orb?

Lincoln "Link" Coulson was not exactly having the best time in school. Being named after a popular president and called after a popular game character would sometimes do that to you. Being born to history buff mother and a gaming nerd father would do "that" to you. Being a pariah didn't affect Link all that much. He even liked it, as it allowed him to pursue his passions, history and you guessed it, astronomy.
Yesterday was an especially important day in Link's life. Also a pretty bad one. The good news was there was a rather amazing meteor shower visible from his house that he had been waiting for the entire year. The bad news was uh... when he was paying close attention to the sky, he sort of forgot to lock the door and the cat(named Altair for obvious reasons) got out. He was pretty much grounded.
