Alina Pritchett is the daughter of a chef who works at the Crest--a palace formerly known as the White House. Braen Chancel is the son of the President of the American Empire. He has been trained for years in political machinations and etiquette, waiting for the moment when he can take over from his father and follow in his footsteps.

Follow Alina from the moment that she meets Braen at twelve years old, and watch as she grows up beside her enemy. Alina will learn how to keep secrets, and how to have friends on both sides of a war. She will learn how to let go of attachments, and she will learn the true meaning of sacrifice and loyalty. There was an organization called 'Octagon Veranda' situated on a lonely Island which was covered by a special Nano cover which was supposed to last 300 years and it's a shield against radiation, bioweapons and chemical attacks. This organization of scientists was created to survive the World War, which could've wiped out humans from Earth. The communication system within the island was advanced and had no connection with outside to prevent AI attacks. It was protected in each possible way which is why humanity still lasts. It is 2201 now. Our little island is the only place humanity can survive on the earth but sadly it's a small island. The population is rising. So now we have a lot more problems to survive than radiation. There are two parts of the island. Inside and outside. Simply heaven and hell on the same island. If you can get inside you are more than lucky. If you get to live outside, you better pray for death. Inside the island is the place where the Octagon Veranda, the main buildings and the city are situated. Octagon Veranda, we work on eight sectors that help humanity to survive.
