Maddox's work keeps her busy, too busy for an actual relationship. This has never bothered her since no one has managed to hold her interest... at least not until now. A Rafael Barba/original female character story. I originally posted it on AO3 under a different title (one I've never really liked) and am rewriting it as I post it here. It started from an idea I was kind of playing with and has an unconventional start, but as I kept writing I really started to like the development of the relationship, so much so, that it become the first story I actually finished. There's smut... lots of smut, fluffy bits too. I've fudged Barba's age a bit because I wanted Maddox to be in her mid twenties and a fifteen year age gap was as large as I was willing to go. It has thirty five chapters and I will work on rewriting them in between new chapters for my other stories. They need a lot of work. The first four were posted at once because that's the point I decided I liked the story enough to originally post it.

So now i'm not sure whether to feel relieved or scared. He walks up to me and my eyes widen, What is he up to? I'm already sitting down, but he pulls my chair out effortlessly and pulls me up. I stand up in shook and watch him carry the chair i was occupying next to his. He pulls out the one Rhea occupied and replaces it with the one he just took... "There, you can either sit here or on my lap, those are your only options, its up to you" he says turning to look at me again with a poker face. No expression. Zero.
