Elizabeth Sunderland, is an heiress with a bad media reputation, and daughter to one of the wealthiest men in New York. She's spent her whole life searching for something real, and after going through all the available options, she's found it in:

Charlie Gillis, an accused serial killer on Death Row in Huntsville, Texas, who Elizabeth went ahead and married, much to everyone's chagrin.

Then the unthinkable happens. Charlie is suddenly acquitted because of tampered evidence and something neither he nor Elizabeth ever imagined becomes reality: He's free.

But that's only the start. Because not only does Charlie have to learn how to survive in Elizabeth's high-society world, a place as full of sharks as Death Row, he's also got to try and stay alive, for the actual serial killer who framed him, appears to be coming for him. And that's not the worst part, for the longer Charlie is free, the more evidence stacks up that makes him wonder:

Is Elizabeth Sunderland the love of his life, or is she going to be the end of it? Which of them actually is the dangerous one?
