This is a short background story I wrote for the parents of one of my characters. It's not fully completed but I think I lifer it at a pretty good place.

It's about a dark elf who stumbles across a human in the forest and gets stuck with her for a week. Well, basically. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this if you read it!All Rights Reserved

The prince and girl fell in love, but couldn't be together, for the nobleman's daughter grew jealous when she found out, and ordered them to be killed. This story was called "The Lover's Curse." As it passed down, generation through generation, it became known as only a legend, a myth. (Making her naive to the cruelty of the world.) She always wanted to see the world outside of the castle. Though everyone saw her as a weak helpless princess that needs to be protected, and hidden from the cruel world she desperately wants to see with her blue eyes. A witch shows up one late after noon and offers her magic mirror, that can show her the outside world from just looking into it. She only needs to imagine the place she wants to see and will be there. The princess though was being a jerk so the witch cursed the mirror. Making it so that the princess ever looked into it, she will become a fearsome dragon. "The princess will no longer be a princess and she will see the world she desperately wants to see. Her soft skin will turn scaled. Her silk like hair will disappear and be replaced with sharp horns. She will be the monster outside as that she is inside." Whispered the witch.

A gypsy boy trying simply trying to survive in a harsh world. But his mother's unknown sickness grows worse with each day and so he must do what he has to in order to earn enough money to find her help This was my main WIP up until a few months ago. I used to spend a lot of time on it but I eventually just lost faith in its potential and moved onto the WIP I'm working on now, which, in my opinion, is a lot better. I know the title doesn't make any sense but if I had actually bothered to finish the book it would have, sorry if this annoys you. As always, comments, criticisms, advice, it's all welcome. Enjoy.
