Note: This story was a role-playing campaign that I'd always fancied turning into a game module. It never really happened, but I put a lot of thought into it and liked the concept so I thought I would write it out. As such, the heroes and their choices are the product of my gaming group - the characters they made and the choices they played. Thank you to my friends in the Danger Corps, sorry in advance for any butchering of your character concepts, and the liberties I took as I tried to embody their roles. Thank you, also my proofreaders and supporters who helped polish this story and keep me sane. Sorry, to you, my readers, for dealing with me as I try to make this story palatable to those who are both familiar and unfamiliar with given high fantasy and role-playing concepts. I wasn't exactly how much I could take for granted as common knowledge. Enjoy!
