The world is on the brink of war after the Empire's beloved Empress was assassinated. Her killer? Unknown. The Crown Prince? Missing. Years of unanswered questions and paranoia causes the Emperor to suspect everyone. One wrong move from anyone could send the Empire into a frenzied bloodbath.

Escaping the warlords of the north, a warrior named Myghal finds himself lost in the shambled and overworked Empire on his way home to the Southern Plains. A wanted man, on the run, he crosses path with a thief named Ira, who needs his help in righting a curse from him and the Empire. That is, if they can work together.

It's not easy being a thief. You just don't get the same level of respect as fighters or clerics or those goody two shoes paladins. Heck, even wizards are held in higher regard. Those dreams of being a hero are about to be put to the test in a major way as Fabian embarks on his biggest and most epic quest yet: finding some rich broad's missing cat. Dungeons will be explored. Fantastical creatures will be encountered. Monsters will be battled if they seem like they're weak enough to actually be defeated.
