Martha and her family were able to escape from the burning house and flee into exile about 150 years ago. As a result, Dracula has never decided to create a place where monsters can live together undisturbed. The Hotel Transylvania doesn't exist, as do the actions from the three films. Monsters are therefore known in public, but usually they stay away from humans. Dracula hasn't seen his friends Frank, Wayne, Murray and Griffin in over 100 years and lives a happy, relaxed life with his wife in Transylvania. The people from his small village don't know his secret identity. Also the contact with his father Vlad is still fragile. Nevertheless, Mavis later meets Johnny during a family vacation, with whom she is now happily married and has given birth to her son named Dennis. They live in California because Dennis' vampire powers have unfortunately failed to materialize. But one day, as fate would have it, the offspring of the Drac Pack meet anyway.

Could be read independently if you truly wanted to, but I'd recommend reading the first book. - I rush through the forest on foot, Emery right behind me as I panic. "Dennis!" I yell out and Emery stops me. "You need to calm down, your panicking." I glare at him and shove his hands off. "Really?" I push forward and keep calling my sons name out. I breathe heavily as I let out a small sob. How'd this happen? How did he slip away with Winnie without anyone at the party seeing? Emery grabs my shoulders and squeezes them as I felt my knees buckle below me-I press my hands into my eyes, "This is all my fault. I shouldn't have lost it on mom or Johnny."
