Morgan Adams never expected to start her senior year in a new state. Her plans for an amazing year with her friends were pulled right out from under her following a life changing decision her dad made; one that got himself and others killed. The repercussions of his actions affected not only her, but everyone she grew up with. When things take a turn for the worst her mom feels it's time for them to leave it all behind and start over. The two travel halfway across the country for a new beginning. Morgan never had issues making friends and here in her new home of Sunrise Lake she finds a place to fit in. She even raises the attention of two of the most popular guys in school; Levi Harmon and Ethan Marley. So far Morgan has won the hearts of most of the people around her except for Angela Holiday, who does not like the attention Morgan is getting from Levi and Ethan. As her past starts catching up with her and Angela begins digging, Morgan worries that she's going to lose all the friendships she's started building in Sunrise lake. Can one girl and Morgan's past shatter everything she's worked so hard to forget? Or will her new friends from Sunrise Lake accept her for who she is without faulting her for her father's actions.
