After Smythe Corps created a chip that was necessary to survive, people sought out the mountains for refuge.
Others decided to take the easy way out and get the chip.
A dome was created around the cities so the non-chipped couldn't get in. And the chipped couldn't get out.
Something far more sinister was brewing inside the dome....
