Chathen is a huntress, living in a world called Euferia. When a mythical Hero, the beautiful knight Hitomi, recruits her as a guide for a dangerous mission to kill a god, she jumps at the chance for wealth and glory.

There's just one problem: Euferia exists only inside a video game, and Chathen is, unknowingly, an artificially created character within it. Hitomi, a player in the game, and Martin, the programmer who created it, need to stop the rogue AI, "Nemesis," before it can replicate itself outside the game and wreak havoc on the real world. Chathen must wrestle with the nature of her being while fighting a powerful god-machine that wants to control or destroy her.
