Fifteen-year-old Ever can't create worlds or raise the dead, but she can make people believe she's able to do it. With a flick of her hand, she can make people worship her, follow her, die for her. And that's not something she should do, in the opinion of her boyfriend Fox. Not unless she wants to turn evil. But as the two try to escape from the people who kidnapped and imprisoned them, Ever starts doubting Fox. Should she really never use her talent? Maybe doing it just one time won't hurt…

"Always go with the choice that scares you the most, because that is the one that is going to require the most of you." -Caroline Myss He scowled and put a finger up to my lips. "Mallie," he whispered, "listen to me. You and only you are the girl that matters to me the most in this world, ok? There's no one else I want to be with, no one else that makes me feel the way you do. You are my world, and I'm going to fight for you until the end. Don't ever forget that." _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Have you ever had to make a choice? A choice that decides, not only your future, but the future of those around you? Mallie never thought she'd have to choose. She never thought she'd have to choose to see the one person she cared about suffer before her eyes everyday and not be able to do anything about it. People shouldn't have to make those kinds of choices, but she did. And the strange thing was... she didn't regret a minute of it.
