Mackenzie's big dream is to go to Riverside Dance Academy, and when she enrolls, she finds herself in her own private heaven. She makes friends like Tameka and Hollie and even becomes friends with her dance partner, Riccardo, and his friends, Fernando and Juan.
However, a rival dance school, Western Bridge, is keen to bring Mackenzie to enroll there instead, after seeing her talent onstage. Even the principal, Miss Bourne, thinks that Mackenzie should transfer. Mackenzie wants to stay, but the other academy has a plan to get Mackenzie to join after the Riverside vs Western Bridge dance off.
