Melody was entirely pessimistic and had her entire life planned from start to finish. By the time she was 14, she knew what college she would go to, what she would major in, where she would live once she graduates, what grades she wants to teach, and much more. She was one of the few students in her graduating class that seemed to have their life together. If you would have asked anyone who knew her, they'd tell you: "She's going to The University of Houston, she's majoring in theatre arts, she will live in Dallas once she graduates college, and she wants to teach high school." Everyone knew this story because that's the story she stuck with until she was 18; that's when everything changed. Who knew that one slight bump in her plan would lead to an adventure she never wanted?
If only she would have known that the adventure may have been what she truly needed.

I sit down on my bike looking around the school parking lot. Listening to music, I stand up begin to walk through the student-less parking lot. Honestly, it's not like I meant to be late. My music cut out causing me to hear a whistle. I stop in my tracks and pull my headphones down to my neck. Turning around, I seen a group of men with one guy who just smirked at me. "Anyone else?" they stare at me blankly. "Didn't think so." When fuck boy tries to get up, I take my foot and slam him back down. Looking back at the boys, I say, "Later boys." Everybody started hyping him up, so he's trying to beat 100,000. You remember the mess you had to clean up after some kid accidently knocked over a bunch of beer. You like to not think about how it ruined your favorite pair of shoes. He messed up again, and kicked the machine. You yelled out to him "That thing costs money you know." then he looked at you. His face almost looked angelic. But he had been the jerk of your highschool, so he couldn't be that angelic. He looked away and picked at his pockets. He pulled out nothing. "Mels I think we should break up" David said to her, his voice flat, no emotion, as though he wasn't blowing up her entire world with his blunt words. "What?"
