Ambrosia Rhett is just a normal, helpless girl. As a human raised by witches, she struggles to harness the magic that flows through the air of her hometown. Unable to attend the local magic academy, she spends her days working as a domestic servant to a wealthy family. When she meets up with a group of fellow thornbloods, they form a plan to escape to the Outbranch. Together.
Without magic, following through with their escape plan will be difficult. However, as they form their route to freedom, the group realizes that running away will not stop the true enemy.
