She waited expectantly but try as he might the words didn't come they wouldn't come out. With a shuddering breath her face filled with a calm acceptance. Finding his hand she whispered,"it's ok." but it wasn't and he was panicking as time ran out. Her hand went limp in his and her head turned away looking eerily calm. He ran then, away from the death and the pain and it's memories. Without realizing it he turned and ended up in the middle of the field. The beauty it once held seemed to have disappeared with her absence. The petals were cold and frozen with snow the grass curled in on itself with disdain. Ignoring the cold he sat in silence that damnable silence.
