Five years ago, Alex Gaskarth was the name of the lead singer of a popular band called All Time Low. Alex Gaskarth had everything anyone would want, until the band broke up.The band became yesterday's old news. Nothing. Outdated. 
Now? 
Alex Gaskarth is a 29-year-old nobody with nothing going for him. He lost everything he had when the band decided to take a break. He quickly faded out of the spotlight, and he didn't take it well, he spiraled into depression and lost his girlfriend, and most importantly, he lost his touch with music.
Then Rian told him to start teaching lessons for fun until the band reunites itself. Alex listened, and he managed to get by with a 'normal' job that wasn't super boring, and he was able to finally play guitar and sing again without feeling guilty.
