Tick tock

Every night, at exactly midnight, a clock chimes. Not just any clock, one that decides fate. Sydney Flowers knows this better than anybody.
Sydney(Syd), watches the antique clock tick each night, then, He arrives. The grim reaper himself. The clock hand spins, and spins. A twist of fate. What ever number the hands land on, that's how many kids die.
Sydney is the daughter of a death wish. She must decide who dies and lives. She can't choose her friends, she must draw names from a "hat" for say. That is, until one day, her hand chooses the name of her best friend. Now she must do whatever it takes to save him, from herself.
Walter Smith, is drawn at the dreaded hour. Sydney knows he and her are tight, but now, he has exactly three hours to live. But what could a mere child do to stop death?
