Once hired for his first head coaching job, Nathan Peterson thought life would be easy; but after learning he would be coaching the heart and soul hockey team of Doncaster, Michigan it doesn't seem that clear. What he thinks will be a simple coaching job, soon turns to be something completely different.

He knows if he doesn't get the team to a state championship win, he and his family will be banished out of Doncaster by a mob. That is if he can even win over his team, his new co-workers, and get them a first seasonal game victory.

They say in high school, nothing ever last forever. But in today's society, nothing is forgotten. And in Doncaster, no memory ever dies. Nathan thought he was just coaching a hockey team but in reality unsurfaced the cruel reality of high school students who feel there's no way out. He watches people without a high school diploma struggle with drugs, sex, and violence.

Book one in the Westbridge U series Eighteen-year-old Grace Carter has spent her life hiding from the truth of her broken home, enduring the cruelty of an alcoholic father in the small town of Willow Springs, Texas. Her only escapes are the books she reads and the cheerleading routines she uses to mask the scars of her reality. All she wants is a way out, a chance to live her life on her own terms. Enter Jaxon Reed-the charismatic, cocky captain of Westbridge University's hockey team. At 18, he's already a hockey prodigy, and everyone knows it. He's got everything-looks, talent, and the confidence that comes with it. But underneath the bravado, Jaxon carries a past that haunts him, one he's not ready to confront. When they're paired together for an English project, neither Grace nor Jaxon is thrilled. Grace sees Jaxon as just another entitled athlete, while Jaxon thinks Grace is too distant to care about. But as they spend more time together, something unexpected happens. Jaxon begins to notice Grace's hidden pain, the way she flinches at loud noises and keeps people at arm's length. Grace, in turn, starts to see the cracks in Jaxon's perfect exterior-his reliance on hockey as an escape from a past that refuses to let him go. What begins as forced proximity soon becomes something neither of them saw coming-an undeniable connection that neither of them is prepared for. As their secrets unravel, they'll discover that sometimes, the most broken people are the ones who heal each other.

Sophie Jameson was once the girl who lit up every room. Big laugh. Bigger smile. Always the first to spill the gossip and the last to leave the party. Until Brad. He was charming at first. Sweet. The kind of guy who made her believe in fairytales-until he showed her a very different side. A cruel side. A violent side. The side that left Sophie bruised, guarded, and questioning everything she thought she knew about love. Now she doesn't trust easily. Doesn't let people close. The spark that once defined her is gone. Enter Dylan Matthews. Defenseman for the Titans. The team flirt. Loud, playful, golden-retriever energy wrapped up in hockey gear. He's the boy who never stops chirping, never stops smiling-and somehow, he notices the girl who's forgotten how to. Sophie doesn't think she's ready for someone like Dylan. Someone who wears his heart on his sleeve. Someone who looks at her like she's still the girl she used to be. But the more time she spends with him-and with Grace, who refuses to let her slip away-the more Sophie begins to remember that she isn't broken. She's healing. She's laughing again. She's falling. And maybe, just maybe, Dylan Matthews is the one who can remind her what love is supposed to feel like. A story of heartbreak, healing, friendship, and the kind of love that mends even the deepest wounds-Mending On Ice will break your heart, then piece it back together.
