It's officially scientifically proven. Mates make you stronger. Now every male werewolf was out their searching for their mate knowing that they'll become stronger.
Everyone knew Hawthorne as Hawk. The strongest alpha of North America had been searching for his mate for years and now he was angry. He decided to make it easier for all mates to find each other. The Hunt was an event in South Dakota for all unmated wolves 16 and up. The females ran through two hundred acres of forest until their mate catches them. People loved it because now everyone was finding their mates a lot quicker.
The Hunt had been going on for three years and Hawk still hadn't found his mate and at 21 it was almost unheard of when you could recognize your mate at 16.
Sophie considered herself a lone wolf. Well not completely since she did have a pack but she was the omega. Her father was a drunk and her mother was dead. She didn't even bother going to The Hunt last year because she figured no mate would want her.
Hawk was sick of waiting. Without his mate he wasn't as powerful as he could be. He wasn't happy either. He met with alphas throughout the country to offcially make it illegal for werewolves to not come to The Hunt.
Now 17, Sophie has no choice but to go to The Hunt willingly or be dragged their by her Alpha. That wasn't even a good idea considering the fact that she was already looked down upon as an omega.
It's January 15th. The official day of The Hunt and Hawk feels different. He knows his mate is out there but can she handle him? Can she handle his past and the way he is now. Hawk isn't just known for being one of the best and most powerful alphas. He was known for being cold, hard and serious.
