'Nova, I did not chase you all this way to kill you.' He explained softly.

'What then? To punish me? To torture me?'

'No!' He looked angry and took a moment to control his wolf stirring under the surface.

'I need to explain what I should've tried to explain better earlier.' He spoke in a lower and softer tone.

'Explain what? You humans are so frustrating! Just speak what you mean!'

'Mate.' The Alpha quickly blurted out.

He took a deep breath.

'I believe you're my mate Nova.'

Never trust a human.

Nova had heard this whispered through the forests for as long as she could remember. Living as a lone wolf in the wild, she knew she could only trust herself and her own instincts.

After a brutal attack, Nova is left weak and injured outside a pack boarder. As she waits for death, a lycan woman stumbles across her broken form and takes her in.

Lycans. A species she never thought could exist. Half wolf and half human. A species that was a mix of herself and her greatest enemy. Could she truly trust anyone in this community?

But the longer she stays, the more she is drawn to the alpha of this mysterious pack. The very alpha who is convinced she is just as much of a lycan as the rest of them.

As she becomes more and more human, can she trust herself?

Nova disguise as a boy to enter the military school. If she is discovered as a girl, she will be kicked out. She is desperate to hide from trackers who have been following her for a dozen years. No one would think to look for her in an all-male military school. She hides among werewolves and is one of the very few nonshifters at the school. She catches the new instructor's curiosity, and her identity is threatened. He claims to be her mate, but she knows that her kind don't have a mate and desperately tries to avoid him. If he stumbles upon her true identity, she is screwed. "What are you doing?!" growls his highness, ripping the knife from my hands. It tingles as his fingers close around my wrist. Fresh blood flows from the wound, turning his hands red. Deep throaty sounds, rumbling in his chest. "You hurt yourself," he says softly, pain evident in his voice. I look up and frown. "It's just a small cut," I reply, annoyed. None of the other cadets get this kind of attention. Besides, we have to learn this to pass the exam. "Shhh, it's going to be okay," he says, pressing me close. My whole side explodes with sparks. It tickles me. "You have to stop hurt yourself. Why are you even here? How am I going to protect you here?" he asks angrily. "I don't need your protection!" I shout, pushing him away. I get an angry growl back. Quickly I grab another knife and throws it over my shoulder, hitting bulls' eye. He glares at me, and the room has gone completely silent. That's when I discover that I may have gone too far with the insanely possessive highness, even though I'm grateful for the extra lessons he gives me. Then suddenly everyone hurries out of the training area. Leaving me alone with the growling, red eyed alpha. *This book contains graphic depictions of violence, sexuality, strong language, and other mature themes.* English is not my first language. Ayn is a witch with healing powers. Shapeshifters have killed her parents and the only animals she cannot speak with are wolves. When she graduates from the Teaching Clan and finds out that she has to cross the River and live in the Wolves' Mountains for one year, she is less than amused. Kari, first-born shapeshifter Alpha, almost lost his wolf after the death of his mate. He could rise again and become the pack leader if only he would complete his training ...and find another suitable Luna. When he realizes that his second chance is his mother's guest, a daydreaming stubborn witch from across the River, he is less than amused. The bond may be a strong force, but can a witch walk the Wolves' Way and face the dangers it is paved with? **** "I need to stop..." I sigh, catching her wrist before her fingers reach the back of my neck, and I untangle her arm from me. She lingers on the recliner but now there is a big gap between our bodies. The warmth she left on my skin is quickly dissipating in the spring night. "Fine." Ayn stands and searches my eyes. Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line. "I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me. "What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket. "The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting." She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact. Like the Earth being round. Like two being a prime number. #1 in Healer - December 2021 #7 in Lycan - December 2022 ~95 000 words Cover photo by Jr Korpa via Unsplash Cover photo by Marc-Olivier Jodoin via Unsplash hi

The Alpha's Search: Catching Luna

14 parts Ongoing Mature

Lui has accomplished countless feats since becoming Alpha, leading his pack with strength and determination. But there's one thing he's never succeeded in.. finding his mate. After years of searching in the shadows, he uncovers a devastating truth: his fated mate has been hiding right under his nose, concealed within his own pack. With a heart full of longing, he's determined to bring her into the light, ready to confront the fears that have kept her hidden. _________ A low, husky voice brushed past her right ear like a whisper, sending shivers down her spine. "Sera..." She flinched, the sound wrapping around her like a thick fog. He was close--too close. She didn't need to turn around to know who it was. The person she had been desperately trying to avoid. The only guy who could make her feel alive and terrified all at once. With her heart racing, she took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "This isn't happening", she told herself. The tension in her body grew, every nerve on edge as the air around her seemed to thicken. Then, in that same low, husky voice, she heard it again, softer this time, but unmistakable. "Mate..."
