Just when the Winx Club thought that evil had been vanquished, they received a foreboding prophecy:

Six fairies with mysterious ties
Only together will they unveil the lies.
A song will sing her sweet sweet tune
as the stars twinkle beside the moon.
The vines will sprout and the waves will crash
Joy will glow and dragons will fly past
Never again will evil rise,
for these fairies will be its demise.

With assassins sneaking in during the night and surprise attacks during the day, the Winx were left with no other options; to protect their beloved daughters from harm, they would have to send them away.
The daughters of the Winx have grown up oblivious of their true heritage, but now that they are of age they must journey to Alfea to become true fairies and fulfill the prophecy they don't even know exists.
