"Alison, are you sure about that?" Kayla said as they walked along the dimly lit street.
"What, it's just a thought anyways. You know me, not like I would actually act on it..... Even though they definitely deserve it" Alison replied mumbling the last part but Kayla understood it.
"Look, I think you and I both know that, while they may deserve it, mass murder is not an option." Kayla was now looking at her friend in a serious way. 'How could she even think about that, yes they did some disgustingly awful things to her, and they most definitely deserve a punishment but, death should not be that punishment' Kayla thought whilst looking at her friend.
"And of course it wouldn't be everyone in school, our friends would be safe, obviously" Alison said licking her ice cream, now looking at the night sky above their heads, waiting for her friend's response.
"What about everyone else in the school; our teachers, principle, janitors and all the other staff and students. What's gonna happen to the-..." Kayla stopped. Cut off and honestly caught off guard by the look on Alison's face... it looked terrifyingly similar to the way that she imagined Claire's mother looked after she had described her mother, the first time she saw her in the rehab center. She had described it as the only way that she could truly see her mother was still crazy, that aside from her smile, she looked completely okay...normal. But Kayla couldn't properly imagine that smile, a smile that made someone look crazy. Now she knows what it looks like.
