Bats are usually feared by people because they're "ferocious" and "blood sucking". But bats are not ferocious or blood sucking, they are actually quite the opposite. Why some people are afraid of bats? No idea why. I can understand if a bat tried to bite you and it scarred you for life, but it was probably just trying to protect itself.
