Two years later, those same terrors caught onto her once again and this time, there was no escaping.
Choosing to enlist instead of her cousin, Charlotte is thrust into a world of chaos where her identity isn't the only thing that may end with her dead.
Her eyes see what no other woman could see, her heart feels a pain that can't be spoken, her hands attempt to heal those who are balancing on the line of death and her senses tell her this is madness.
But still, together with the men of the airborne paratroopers, every day manages to push by while her secret hangs on and threatens everything.

The oldest of four daughters, Charlotte is mostly a shy and reserved girl who keeps to herself. But when Charlotte meets William McCaden, an injured soldier on leave whom she'd briefly met when she was seventeen, she finds herself falling inexplicably in love. When Will is shipped overseas to Nazi-occupied France to fight in a deadly combat mission, Charlotte and Will have only their letters to keep each other close... but in the midst of war, how can love possibly survive? ----- DISCLAIMER: This work was written when I, Raine the author, was 14 years old (circa 2014) and is a FIRST DRAFT. The government, along with the War Department and direction from General Eisenhower decide this is a secret, covert operation that the public will be shielded from, to see how integrating women into war will work. Each of the 250 women come with their own ambitions of what they want from war and why they signed up in the first place to be apart of this program. They become split into each of the 5 branches with leverage from each of the branch commanders, and split into groups of 2, 3, or 4 women and are placed into their different respective branches. The enlisted men of each branch, well, they do not know exactly how to approach a woman who, at the moment, has more military training and experience by the time they get placed into their positions. Hazel Parker, Catherine McCown and Elizabeth Elliot are placed into the 101st Airborne, the first 3 women to be apart of the Airborne. A few other women head off to the 82nd. These 3 women become part of the 506th and are put under 2nd Battalion, in Easy Company.
