"Bad children are punished, Alexis." Her name - the words rotten off his tongue. Her eyes widened as he came closer, his hand diving deep into his pocket, whilst his other firmly held onto the cowering girl. The girl screamed, but no noise escaped her throat, only the hitched breathing that only seemed to grow louder. There was only the deafening silence, the constant throb in her chest, stabbing deep as his warm breath came closer. But in that moment there was only her heartbeat, the relentless thump in her chest the only link between reality, and her nightmares. With a blink she no longer was cowering in a musty corner, her face no longer dirtied, the slow trickles of blood stopped falling from her face -she was safe. There wasn't a single part of this man, that she couldn't forget. But how could she forget? How could she forget, when her scars cut so deep? When in the dark, she could still feel the weight of his revolting body on hers. She may have escaped, but she wasn't free -she was nothing but broken. But like most struggles, no one would notice, her cries and screams were again unheard; a whisper compared to the shrieks and demands of the hateful world. TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ MENTIONS OF Rape, family abuse and suicidal thoughts. Do not read if this may trigger you. The story isn't all depressing but there are certain family situations brought up. It's a good read, enjoy. "It's ok, Blaine. I promise." I whispered into her ear. Her strong arms wrapped me so tightly. I felt so warm and safe... it's weird how calm everything felt in this moment. I hear her sniffle. "I... don't wanna go back." She whispered. I rubbed her back. "You don't have to if you don't want to I promise. You can stay as long as you want." I whispered back. ------ Blaine Jarome was known for the attitude and anger issues.
