Bridget Sullivan is a girl who, to an outside observer, seems to have it all. She's got nice parents and a not-overly-annoying younger brother, and a great boyfriend who seems to be at her side at all times. But, things are not always as they seem. Bridget's "boyfriend", Jacob, is really her best friend she's known since kindergarten. Her father is an ex-convict who is seriously against Bridget and Jake being together, after a feud between his family and theirs. But they are very close, and as Bridget's complicated relationship with Jake develops and begins to blossom into something more, she'll need to make some tough decisions, to keep from losing him, and getting hurt. Will this love story end happily ever after, or will Bridget decide to keep her heart locked up, just like her father was?
