She does have her own shrine where a lot of foxes live there and with cute little foxes statues around her shrine. But on one full blue moon with a storm with a struck of lightning she awoke from her deep slumber, she met Takemichi at age 5 in his dream and she became a guardian/sister to him. Then years later she met the gang of Toman and became friends with them. They do not know she is a nine tail fox demon that was the most feared demon around Tokyo. But a lot of Toman and other gangs fell in love with her. Shinichiro is alive in this book. This is my idea of the plot of the story but the characters belong to the creator Ken Wakui.Completa
