"Alex I need to talk to you" he said to me very slowly like I was going burst into tears. "I'm leaving" I didn't understand he just got to my house. Usually he stays awhile. "Why? You just got here." "No I mean I'm moving." Now I felt like crying. "Where are you going? How long are you going to stay their?" "I don't know. I'm sorry, Alex I have to go my dad is outside." He was leaving me. That's when I felt tear run down my cheek. My best friend was leaving this is the last time I will ever see him for a long time or maybe even forever. "Promise me you'll come back for me." "Promise" "pinky swear?" I raise my pinky. When he hooks his pinky onto mine I think maybe I'll see him again. *************************************************** He left seven years ago and I'm still not over him. I try to move on. I try to forget about him but I can't. Will I ever get over him?

*Sequel to Emily, Please Don't Go Away* It was poetic, in a way. Almost like Romeo and Juliet, only I was trying to escape from him. As I stared into his eyes, he offered me a weary smile. "Emily, let's go home." Six years had passed since I had last seen him. I wasn't supposed to ever see him again. I was supposed to be free. Things weren't supposed to end this way.
