Shattered Hearts

She broke him because she had no other choice.
He loathes her because it was the only choice she left him with.

She was only trying to protect the ones that she loves.
He is only trying to get revenge on the one who faked their love for him.

She should've known that she can't protect everybody.
And he should've known better not to fall for her act.

But that's the thing with love,
It tears up your emotions and plays with your mind until finally you break.

And now that they've both been broken, there's nothing left of them but their shattered hearts.
