(COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SETTING THAN COVER) Jade wasn't the type to keep friends. Antisocial was the word you'd call her and she was fine with that. When her family made the big decision to move she was okay with it, seeming as she barely had any friends in the first place and really had no other choice. She didn't expect the town to be so mysterious but everyone seemed to love it. Why did it seem as if the town had some type of secret? And why did nobody else notice it but her? Was there something there that would somehow put her family in danger? Or was she just making the town seem worse than it really was?

Complete! "You know I really like you, right?" He was definitely drunk. "You do?" I asked. My voice was supposed to be teasing, but I think it came off as a bit startled. He laughed, "Yeah, why else would I trust you with all my secrets?" -- Betty was many things; a romantic, a fashion designer, a bit more jealous than the average girl, great with a camera, a helpful daughter and a good friend. But she was best known for being nice. And usually, the boy did not want the 'nice' girl. But this summer she was going to prove to Mike, her crush since FOREVER, that nice was enough. She was going to have an amazing summer, a perfect Junior year, and finally have her first kiss. It was a foolproof plan. Moving from her childhood home in Arizona to New Mexico at the start of Junior year was never a part of Betty's plan. But sometimes when parents are involved, plans change. So now the nice girl had to start over at a new school in a new State. And when the (maybe not so bad) bad boy, Eli, gets involved, it might be hard to be known as 'the nice girl'.
